‘In Our Hands’ resources for professionals

Provided by In Our Hands, Dr Pooky Knightsmith

What is it?

Free leaflets on various mental health issues plus variety of useful information

What young people say

Variety of resources and info including how to talk about mental health in a positive way, mostly come from the view point of people living with the conditions so it is not someone trying to make an imaginary scenario. The layout at first does seem to first come across as patronising and a little confusing. However, once navigating through it does seem to get easier to use. Really like the poems - great examples of how a young person can express themselves. Might be better for professionals to pick out the bits of information that would be more beneficial to young people and provide actual links to the blog posts rather than be overwhelmed with all the different posts
